Dudgeon con risultati però molto scadenti causa il voler cercare
di fare un album con i suoni che andavano per la maggiore all'epoca.
Ciònonostante il singolo Nikita raggiunse un buon
successo, soprattutto in Europa.

Elton John's
relationship with Geffen Records seems to have been deteriorating by
this point, although he kept up his regular output of one album a
year...This one contains the #7 ballad "Nikita" and a pleasant uptempo
song, "Wrap Her Up"... The CD added the single "Act of War," a raucous
workout with Millie Jackson that immediately became the album's standout track.
