Atto II. In questa scena Lestat che si trova ancora in America è
ferito, Claudia, il vampiro bambina ha tentato di ucciderlo, lui si
trova su di una nave per ritornare in Europa.
(2) è un modo di dire, tipico anglosassone, non si tratta di una reale
scritta sul muro, si potrebbe anche dire è il momento in cui il destino
è segnato: l’origine di questo detto è la Bibbia, Daniele 5,
25-28
(3) per rendere il senso chiaro è necessario parafrasare non essendo
possibile tradurre alla lettera (the words are clear=le parole sono
chiare), rif. sempre alla scritta sul muro che non è reale.
Cioè Lestat ha ben chiaro quale sarà il suo destino se non se ne
andasse.
